Detailed war report by Donbass militia fighter «Timur» for October 3rd: more than 600 Islamists deserted after Russian airstrikes (PHOTOS)

Donbass militia fighter «Timur» (nom-de-guerre) who is in Syria now reports exclusively for «Russian Spring» with photos made by him on the site.

The third day of Russian airforces' military operation in Syria showed the extension of islamists' command system and infrastructure demolition. On the other hand there are certain changes in terrorists' strategy obviously connected with Russian airborne mission start.

Islamist fighters' attacks

The Islamist fighters continue attacking Syrian governmental forces' positions near Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor and in the outskirts of Damascus. They are also trying to step up their presence in the northeastern districts of Latakia governorate.

To the north of Homs Jabhat Al-Nusra group is building up its presence. Governmental forces continue battering the detected islamists' deployment sites by artillery and mortar fire.

«Jaish Al-Islam» terrorists are still having the stronghold of Damascus-Homs road section in the northwest of Douma region (Eastern Guta), they continue mortar attacks against Syrian Arab Army forces and residential suburbian districts of Damascus. 

Syrian Army offensive

At the same time Syrian Arab Army supported by tank divisions fights the islamists off the outskirts Jebel-Ras-Abu-Zaid mountain (to the northeast from Damascus) and capital quarter Dahiyat-al-Assad.

The Syrian governmental forces launched artillery and mortar attacks along with the airstrikes aimed at islamist fighters' positions and concentration sites near Daraa, Suwayda and Al-Quneitra in the south of Syria. Terrorists' convoy was destroyed near Aleppo by Assad forces. The islamists launched improvised missiles on Kurdish positions in Sheikh Maksud quarter and other Aleppo districts. Governmental forces attacked terrorists in the eastern and southeastern districts of Deir ez-Zor.

ISIS is holing up

The fighters showed their head near the city of Hama where artillery and mortar exchages between governmental forces and terrorist groups are regular. It has been widely noticed that the terrorists started to pay much more attention to movement stealth and blackout issues.

Terrorists supporters' mass desertion

Syrian Arab Republic secret service revealed that more than 600 fighters of the so called «Free Syrian Army» and the other supposedly moderate groups had deserted their positions after Russian airborne mission commencement. There is certain distemper among the radical islamists. At least this has been proved by signal and human intelligence data collected by Syrian governmental forces.

Terrorists' anxiety and agitation could be understood. It took Russsian war planes 24 hours to destroy two terrorists' training camps near Jisr Ash-Shughur and to hit underground command centers near Ham-Shaikhun and Al-Latamna.

Russian airforce next step

Russian antiterrorist airborne mission in Syria will be continued in the next 24 hours.
